Universities & Higher Education

Making a decision about Higher Education is not straightforward.  There are over 35,000 courses to choose from in the UK, plus many more overseas.  Selecting the right one for you will require research and time.   Speak to staff at school, parents, friends to get ideas and insights.  Look online for reviews by current students.  Try and attend an Open Day for institutions that particularly interest you.

There is also careers profiling software that can help and, if you are interested in finding out more about a particular course or university there are often summer courses on offer run by universities or departments for students in years 11 and 12.

  • www.speaktoauni.com is a great site for information on open days for UK universities and some overseas options as well.  Create an account so you don't miss out on alerts. Search for events by university, location or date and book your place or speak to a student via the site for the latest views on the course that interests you.
